How do I Add a Surcharge for Arrivals Only for a Single Vehicle or Service
As an example: I wish to add a $10 charge/fee for all Arrivals at the airport.
This is a quick 2-step process:
1) Setup the Direction surcharge
2) Enable the Direction Surcharge for the desired service(s).
1) Setting the Direction Surcharge
Open HWeb Agent, Dispatcher or Admin.
Go to Tools - Configuration - Fare and Services - Direction Tab
Scroll to the right and locate the following columns:
Direction Surcharge Type
Fixed: Sets the charge to an amount per reservation
Fixed Per Passenger: Sets the charge to an amount per passenger
Percent: Sets the charge to a percentage of the Fare
Percent (rounded): Sets the charge to the nearest whole dollar (percentage of the fare)
Percent (rounded up): Sets the charge to the next higher whole dollar (percentage of the fare)
Direction Surcharge RateFixed Per Passenger: Sets the charge to an amount per passenger
Percent: Sets the charge to a percentage of the Fare
Percent (rounded): Sets the charge to the nearest whole dollar (percentage of the fare)
Percent (rounded up): Sets the charge to the next higher whole dollar (percentage of the fare)
Enter the direction surcharge rate: (ex: 12, 25, 3.50, etc) No $ or % symbols are needed.
Click Apply and OK to save changes.2) Enabling the Direction Charge for the desired vehicle or service type(s)
pen HWeb Agent, Dispatcher or Admin.
Go to Tools - Configuration - Fare and Services - Services Tab
Scroll to the right and make sure the following is enabled.
