Uploading Fares to Your Hudson Web Reservation System

After creating or modifying a fare.csv file in your local office, you will want to upload it to your web reservation system, so that the fares generated in your local office are consistent with the fares being quoted online.

  1. Login to your online, web reservation utility page
  2. Locate the Tab labeled  "Favorites"  OR "Import"
  3. Select the option:  Upload and Import a csv file
  4. Set File Type = Fares  from the drop list
  5. Click the "Browse" button across from the Upload File field
  6. Browse your local computer / network and locate the fare file to be uploaded (e.g. bosfares.csv). Click  OPEN to load the path and directory into the Upload File field.
  7. Airport= select the airport name that corresponds to the fare file being uploaded (e.g. Boston Logan)
  8. Table ID =  leave as "Default"  UNLESS the fare file you are uploading has a -#  at the end (e.g. bosfares-1.csv, bosfares-2.csv, etc.).  If there is a number at the end of the fare file name, then select the value from the drop list that matches the number on the fare file name (these are alternate fare files).
  9. Place a check mark next to "Import and replace database"  UNLESS the fare file being uploaded has a -n on the end (e.g. bosfares-n.csv). Files with a -n as part of the name include scheduled fare increases and are uploaded in addition to and not to replace the original current fare table(s).
  10. Click the "Upload" button to initiate the fare upload process. The upload speed and duration will depend upon your Internet and network connectivity as well as the number of records in your fare table(s).  You should also see window that will display the status of your upload.
Your fare file will be uploaded and imported.  Upon completion you will get a confirmation, if successful that says something like the following:
 20 records written to ./data/bosfares.db from ./data/bosfares.csv

Once your fares are uploaded, you should do a couple test reservations to ensure that the fares, locations and services on your web and local systems are consistent, correct and "in-sync."
