What Causes the “Caching Error” when we log into HWeb Agent through Terminal Services Connection
Each time an HWeb application starts, the file ResFC.mdb (contains all the fare and configuration information) is copied from the network server to the harddrive of your PC. If there is an error copying this information, you would receive this error.
On Terminal Services (Remote Desktop Connection), you are usually setup with the /AltCache command line option in the properties of the desktop shortcut. This establishes a single copy of the ResFC.mdb file which ALL Terminal Service users access rather than creating a copy of the file for each user. This helps conserve disk space.
If you received this error while in Terminal Services, then most likely two users tried to load software at the exact same time…possible if there are many or multiple users.
