What is HWeb InfoView and what can it be used for?
How much time would you estimate your Reservations Agents or Dispatchers spend distributing trip information each afternoon when drivers are calling in for their next days’ schedule? How much time is spent daily, updating drivers with schedule changes? How many clients are put on hold while your staff hands out scheduling information? How many times do corporate travel planners, hotel concierges or travel agents call you to confirm or reconfirm previously booked reservations? The answer obviously depends on the number of driving staff you have and the types of business you provide, but the answer could easily be from an hour to several hours, every business day.
HWeb InfoView is a product/feature in the Hudson suite which strives to resolve this problem. HWeb InfoView allows people either internal or external to your business to access current (or past) reservation information, from your database, that you have decided to allow them to view. People view this information from their home, office, or remote location via the internet.
HWeb InfoView setup:
You build simple custom grids inside your HWeb Dispatcher system. For example: a grid is created for your drivers that includes a driver ID, and basic reservation information such as pickup time, pickup location/address, drop off location/address, service type, number of passengers, and flight information. Only information that a driver would need to know will be included in this custom HWeb InfoView grid.HWeb InfoView use:
Once driver assignments have been completed by your dispatch staff, a driver can connect to the internet and login to your company web reservation system with their unique ID and password. They can then view the details of the reservations they have been assigned. The information is viewed in real time and is displayed as a grid or table, just as it is on your office dispatcher screens. The instant their name is assigned to a reservation, the driver can view the details of that reservation. The information they see is read-only and cannot be edited or revised by them. Further, the driver only sees work that is specifically assigned to him/her and cannot view the details of work assigned to others. As reservation details are updated, the driver can see those changes within seconds.Just a few other examples of how HWeb InfoView can be used:
- Affilliates can check farm-out work assigned to them
- Airport Greeters can view list of arriving passengers
- Travel Agents can view status of their bookings
- Corporate accounts can view their future bookings or recent travel history / charges
If your drivers normally call in daily, now they can login to the Internet from their home or while on the road with a web-enabled phone, PDA, etc., and review their work via HWeb InfoView.

- HWeb Bridge Application running on the Network
