Hudson Acquires AMT, Inc. and ALERT Software

The Hudson Group, a provider of technology solutions to the ground transportation industry has acquired the assets of Applied Management Technologies, Inc. (AMT)  of Midland Park NJ.  Formed in 1993 AMT developed ALERT the industry’s first Windows based software for limousine management.

According to Hudson President and CEO Mark Ustik “The Hudson Group is very excited about this strategic alliance with AMT. The ALERT product is a mature stable and proven system that has been used successfully by transportation providers for fifteen years.  The addition of the ALERT product to Hudson’s suite of technology solutions will allow us to appeal to a greater number of clients and provide solutions to a broader customer base.  According to Ustik, Hudson will be using the ALERT product “as part of an aggressive marketing strategy during 2009 to help combat economic hardships which have effected the ground transportation industry over the last year. “

AMT principal David Linforth joins Hudson as Senior Business Development Manager – Limousines Division.  Linforth will continue to support established ALERT clients and is working closely with Hudson software developers to add enhanced features and functionality to the ALERT product.  Among the planned enhancements is integration of Hudson’s successful HWeb Reservation Manager – an Internet reservation system that downloads client web booking details directly into the ALERT back office database. Also slated for development during first quarter 2009 is the integration of the FlightView flight status lookup service along with enhanced web-based credit card processing options.

Linforth is excited about the new venture, “With a much larger staff, we now have the ability to respond to development and service needs more efficiently.
