Driver Shift Maintenance


The Driver Shift Maintenance tool is used to maintain driver shifts, automatically generate driver shifts, and print driver rosters, forecasts, and weekly schedules.

 

Display a list of driver shifts:

a)    Select either a specific driver or

b)    Select Start and End dates of shifts to display

c)    Select which shift type or

d)    Click the “Display Shifts” button

Add a new driver shift:

a)    Select which driver to create a new shift for

b)    Select the Start date (date for start and end of shift)

c)    Click “Create new driver shift” button

d)    Shift status is defaulted to “Not Active”

e)    Fill in the Shift Detail information


Delete a driver shift:

a)    Select which driver shifts(s) to delete from the Driver Shifts grid

b)    Click the “Delete select driver shift(s)” button


Shift Detail – (general shift information)

Driver Name, Vehicle (if assigned by dispatch), Shift Status, Shift Type, Scheduled Start Time, Scheduled End Time, Actual Start Time, Actual End Time (Actual Times can only be edited after shift is complete and user is in special edit mode), Scheduled Services (services scheduled for shift)

Automatically Generate Driver Shifts – (File menu – Generate Shifts)

To automatically generate shifts for drivers you must first create daily schedules for each driver using the Driver Maintenance Tool.  Generating shifts checks each driver’s schedule and absences for selected days to generate proper schedules.

a)    Select Start and End dates for shifts to automatically generate

b)    From the file menu select “Generate Shifts”


Print Driver Forecast – (File menu – Print Driver Forecast)

The Driver Forecast report displays for each half hour from (00:00 to 23:30) how many scheduled driver shifts are starting and how many total scheduled drivers are driving.  This report can be generated for one to seven days.


a)    Select Start and End dates (up to seven days)

b)    From the file menu select “Print Driver Forecast”

 

Print Driver Roster – (File menu – Print Driver Roster)

The Driver Roster report displays a list of all schedules for each selected day for either all drivers or a specific driver.

a)    Select Start and End dates for roster to be printed

b)    Select either a specific driver or

c)    From the file menu select “Print Driver Roster”

Print Driver Weekly Schedule – (File menu – Print Driver Weekly Schedule)

The Driver Weekly Schedule report displays the scheduled start times for either all drivers or for a specific driver for up to seven days.

a)    Select Start and End dates for weekly schedule to be printed

b)    Select either a specific driver or

c)    From the file menu select “Print Driver Weekly Schedule”
